Teaching Staff

Ünal Süeroğlu completed his undergraduate degree in English Linguistics at Hacettepe University in 2005 and his master's degree in Sociology at Hacettepe University in 2017. He started his doctorate in English Education program at Bahçeşehir University in 2019. He started to work in Ankara University TÖMER Alanya branch in 2006. In the same year, he also started working as a sworn translator. In 2007, he continued his duty at TÖMER Ankara Branch as a result of relocation . In 2009, he attended ERASMUS and studied his master's degree at the University of Milan Bicocca, Italy. After returning to Turkey in 2010, he gave lectures for TOEFL, IELTS, YDS exams and took a role as an academic coordinator at private companies. He worked at Altınbaş University in 2016, at Cappadocia University in 2018, and at Doğuş University in 2019 as an English instructor, test unit member, level coordinator and manager. He was appointed to Samsun University in February 2020. He teaches general purpose English, speaking classes, English exams (TOEFL, IELTS, YDS) in special purpose classes. He has a published an article on an SSCI Journal of International journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology in 2008 with the title of "Profiling Property Criminals." During his doctorate education, he carried out studies on the working memory / learning relationship, INSET, teacher identity, cognition / learning, English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) and INSET.
