"He graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Architecture in 2000. Architect with the thesis titled “Analysis of Form, Function, Structure and Meaning in Turgut Cansever Projects in the Context of Architectural Autonomy and Civilization Self-Comprehension Concepts” completed at the same university (2005); He received his doctorate degree with the thesis “Architect Mehmed Ağa and His World: An Essay on Making Meaning of 16th and 17th Century Ottoman Mentality Patterns and Architecture Through Risâle-i Mi‘mâriyye” (2009). He worked at Karadeniz Teknik (2001-2009), Mardin Artuklu (2009-2015), Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation (2015-2018) and Istanbul Şehir (2018-2020) universities. He has been a faculty member at Samsun University Faculty of Architecture and Design since July 2020.
His academic fields of study are: Architectural historiography, Architecture in Islamic geography, 16-17. century Ottoman architecture, 20-21. century architectural theories and practices, Turgut Cansever, Ufkî Şehir, Trabzon, Mardin and Istanbul city history.
