They graduated from the Department of Architecture at Kayseri Erciyes University in the year 2013. Following their graduation, they worked in various private sector companies in Kayseri and Istanbul as a responsible architect for preparing and implementing architectural projects for buildings. They began their Master's degree at Gazi University in 2013 and completed it in 2016 with a thesis titled "Preservation and Restoration Proposal for Mustafa Ağa Hammam in Tokat." After their Master's studies, they started their Ph.D. education in 2016 and obtained the title of "Doctor" by completing their dissertation titled "A Decision Support System Proposal for Energy-Efficient Improvement of Historical Buildings."
They served as a research assistant at Osmaniye Korkut Ata University (2014-2016) and Gazi University (2016-2022). Starting from April 2022, they have been working as a faculty member at Samsun University. Some of their academic works include: "Energy Efficient Improvement of Historic Buildings: a Case Study in Sinop" (Genc and Beyhan, 2021), "Evaluation of the Biophilic Concept in the Context of Historic Buildings: Tokat Mustafa Aga Hammam" (Genc, Selcuk, and Beyhan, 2018), and "The Comparison of Architectural Heritage Documentation Techniques Over Mustafa Aga Bath Located in the Commodity Center of Tokat" (Genc and Sagiroğlu, 2016).
