She graduated from Trakya University’s Department of Architecture in 2006 and completed her master’s degree at Istanbul Technical University in 2010. Her thesis, “Rural Conservation Project in Yakaören” focused on documenting a historic coastal settlement in Kastamonu.
She committed her doctoral studies at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University in 2012, resulting in her successful completion of a dissertation titled “Site Management Experience in Urban Cultural Heritage Sites and Model of Specific Preservation – Management to Location: Historic City Center of Kastamonu” in 2019.
Throughout her career, she has navigated various roles in architecture, transitioning from private sector architecture in 2006-2007 to academia as a research assistant at Maltepe University from 2007-2009. Embracing freelance architecture from 2010-2014, she later joined the Historic Areas of Istanbul Site Management Directorate as an expert architect from 2014-2019. There, she spearheaded projects in Conservation-Planning, Conservation-Restoration, Risk Management, and Education Awareness, with a keen focus relationship with UNESCO World Heritage Center, processes of UNESCO World Heritage Convention, studies on Outstanding Universal Value and Heritage Impact Assessment about Istanbul. She founded a social entrepreneurship initiative focused on creating inclusive spaces for children, babies, and caregivers in 2020. From 2020 to 2023, her enterprise participated in the TÜBİTAK-BİGG program at Acıbadem University and various programs at institutions such as the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Istanbul Technopark.
Academic research areas: management of cultural heritage areas, heritage impact assesment, rural and urban conservation, city culture and belonging in the context of children, actor network theory.
