She graduated from the Department of Architecture at Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) in the year 2000. In 2001, she began her Master's degree at the Department of Architecture within KTÜ's Institute of Science. She completed her Master's education in 2004 by submitting her thesis titled "Existence-Space Investigation in Modern Church Buildings" and received her degree.

In the same year, she commenced her doctoral studies and, in 2009, she completed her Ph.D. with a thesis titled "Spatial Organization of Modernity Thought during the Republican Era (1923–1960): Trabzon as a Case Study of Center-Periphery Dynamics," earning the title of "Doctor."

Between 2009 and 2015, she worked as an assistant professor at Mardin Artuklu University (MAÜ) Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. From 2015 to 2018, she worked at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University (FSMVÜ), and from 2018 to 2020, she served as an assistant professor at Istanbul Şehir University. Currently, she is a faculty member at Samsun University, Faculty of Architecture and Design.

She continues her research in the fields of modern architecture and urban history, focusing on late Ottoman and Republican-era architectural history.
