Asst. Prof. Abdullah Asım Divleli
He was born in Istanbul in 1982. He graduated from Selçuk University, Department of Architecture in 2005. He wrote his master’s thesis titled “Facades Analysis of Traditional Turkish House: The Sample of Istanbul-Zeyrek Haydar Neighborhood” at the same university. He completed his doctoral study titled ” Historiography and Architecture in the Construction of Arab Nation Identity: The Case of Egypt ” at Mardin Artuklu University. Since his graduation in 2005, he has done architectural projects and applications in Turkey and abroad. He worked at Mardin Artuklu University between 2010-2022. He worked as a researcher at the University of Jordan in 2015-2017 and at the International Islamic University of Malaysia in 2017-2018. His academic interests are refugee and space, nationalism and architecture, and modern Arab architecture of the 19th and 20th centuries.
