He was born in Gürün district of Sivas in 1982. He completed his primary, middle, and high school education in Konya. In 2007, he graduated from the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at Atatürk University, Faculty of Literature. He completed his master's thesis on the Saudi novelist Abdurrahman Münif at Selçuk University, Institute of Social Sciences (2013) and his doctoral research on a thematic comparison of the novels of Egyptian novelist Abdurrahman al-Sharqawi and Kemal Tahir in the same field (2016). From 2010 to 2023, he worked at Selçuk University and Muş Alparslan University. In February 2023, he became an associate professor. He started his position at Samsun University, Faculty of Theology, in June 2023.

His academic areas of interest include Classical Arabic Literature, Arabic Novel, Contemporary Arabic Poetry, Arabic Language Teaching, and Comparative Literature.
