Research Areas: 19th century Ottoman literature, printed culture, sociology of literature, history of literature, contemporary Turkish novel and story, literary theories.
Selected Studies: She completed her master’s thesis titled “Yaşar Kemal’in İstanbul’una Çevreci Bir Yolculuk” at Bilkent University in 2003 and she defended his doctoral thesis titled “19. Yüzyıl Osmanlı Toplumu ve Basılı Türkçe Edebiyat: Etkileşimler, Değişimler, Çeşitlilik” at the same university in 2009. Her book Cervantes’ten Tilkiyan’a Osmanlı Edebiyatında Pastoralin Sergüzeşti, was published by Grafiker Publishing in 2016. “Milliyetçilikten Küreselciliğe Edebiyat Tarihi Yazımı”, “To Translate or Not to Translate? 19th Century Ottoman Communities and Fiction”, “Yazmadan Basmaya, Gösterimden Romana: 19. Yüzyılda Osmanlı’da Folklor” are some of her academic works.
